This method of soldering provides a void-free
fin to tube joint, and eliminates the decreased
heat transfer found in a dip process where the
total fin and tube surface are coated with a film

of insulating solder. Soldered finned tubing can be
supplied with copper fins on tubing of copper,
cupro-nickel, and admiralty or red brass.
Soldered joint tubing is good in temperatures
up to 375°F.
