"L" Foot or Shoulder tension construction assures uniform fin spacing, rigidly interlocked by the fin radius overlap over the exposed shoulder edge. This prevents separation and movement under extreme cycling conditions within the 450°F temperature range. The shoulder tension design provides for a completely enclosed tube surface, and mechanically interlocked fins. Shoulder tension construction provides double the strength and thermal efficiency of conventional edge-wound finned tubing. |
